Natural Insulin Therapy – By Dr. Neelam Kanwar Rathore
Abstract –
Natural Insulin therapy is also called “Neem-karela therapy”. By crushing, the bitter melon for 30-45 minutes with neem leaves bare foot.
Aim –
Control sugar levels by crushing the bitter melon.
Objectives –
1. Bitter Gourd (Momordica charantia)
Take ten-fifteen bitter gourds. Crush it or grind it in a mixer and extract its juice. Do not throw away the remaining bitter gourd pieces. Keep this juice in a big vessel or bucket. Dip your feet in it (Foot therapy for diabetes using bitter gourd). Keep moving or moving your legs in between. Do this for at least 15-20 minutes. Do this until the bitterness of the bitter gourd reaches your tongue. When you start feeling like this, take out your feet and wash them with clean water.

Control sugar levels by crushing the bitter melon.

1. Bitter Gourd (Momordica charantia)
- Bitter gourd Mimics to insulin.
- It blocks the breakdown of food into sugar (inhibit enzymes cause less conversion of sugar from food and then less glucose is released into the bloodstream).
- Bitter gourd acts like an insulin, which helps bring glucose into cells for energy.
- This glucose moves to the liver to muscles and fats.
- It may be able to help retain nutrients by blocking conversion to glucose that ends up in the bloodstream.
- Bitter melon reduces Fructosamine with DM type 2.
- Bitter gourds have Lactin that reduces blood glucose concentration by acting on peripheral tissues and suppressing appetite similar to the effect of insulin in the brain.
- Bitter gourd inhibits the activity of an enzyme called alpha-glucosidase, which helps break down food (carbs) into glucose, which is the absorbed into bloodstream. By inhibiting the sugar released into the bloodstream.
- Bitter gourd occurs –
- Glucose Tolerance
- Insulin Sensitivity
- With the deepening of research on MC, numerous phytochemicals have been discovered, including saponins, polysaccharides, triterpenes, proteins, vitamins, minerals, flavonoids, ascorbic acid, and steroids.
- Additionally, it has been recorded in the literature that three insulin-like active compounds
- Charatin
- Momocardicin
- Poly peptide
- From bitter gourd can block the active site of glycogen synthase kinase 3 (GSK-3) by combining with it, thus reducing the inactivation of glycogen synthase (GS) and further restoring glycogen content.
- Neem leaves are loaded with flavonoids, triterpenoids, anti-viral compounds, and glycosides, which may help manage blood sugar levels and ensure there is no surge in glucose.
